Andrii Dovhopol

President of the association, interdisciplinary artist

Andrii Dovhopol

Andrii Dovhopol is an interdisciplinary artist, theatre and film actor, curator, director, video maker, journalist, producer, couturier, and visionary. He is the founder of the theory of transmedium practices and of the artistic institution ADEPT.

His trajectory has unfolded across Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Germany, Russia, the United States, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan. He has been living and working in France, in Marseille, for the past several years.

The author of two books, he develops a practice that moves across cinema, video, painting, performance, writing, scenography, and curatorial work. He worked for more than eighteen years in television and film as a presenter, editor, director, and actor.

As a curator, he is the author of fifteen exhibitions, the organizer of five festivals, and the co-founder of artistic residencies. His work is grounded in the crossing of media, the displacement of frameworks, and the search for new forms capable of expressing the tensions of the present.

His practice also engages with contemporary technologies: he explores artificial intelligence and the newest tools as materials, partners, and possible environments for artistic creation. As president of ADEPT, he leads active work in communication, networking, and event organization, while developing an artistic vision rooted in experimentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the emergence of new sensitive languages.

"In our lives, it is essential never to stop playing as in childhood: to do what truly interests us, to experiment, to mix media and genres, to work within unfamiliar structures, and in doing so to bring forth new forms in resonance with their time."
