Musa Zhanataev is a musician, composer and songwriter. Since 2017, he has been developing an intimate, cinematic and deeply personal sound world where pop melodies meet the harmonies of progressive R&B.
His writing, in Russian and English, explores inner states rather than fixed forms. His songs unfold as sensitive spaces where voice, rhythm, silence and harmonic tension create a soft, hypnotic and almost suspended atmosphere.
A songwriter since 2019, Musa has collaborated with several independent musicians and has performed in different contexts, from the street to concert venues. Trained in songwriting, he has also collaborated with the label MALFA, Louis Sclavis and the Paris-based label FLEE.
Live, Musa creates a direct relationship with listening. His music invites the audience to return to itself, until the voice gradually takes over the whole space. Within ADEPT, his work connects to transmedium practices through musical narration, stage presence and the construction of an intimate sound world.
